Our trip is in August. We are staying at the Hotel Metropole in Bellagio http://www.albergometropole.com/ and the Grand Hotel Leveque in Paris http://www.hotel-leveque.com/ Both are recommended by Rick Steves.

Reading your itinerary made me nostalgic about my trip to Paris. I just flipped through my scrapbook to find some recommendations for you. Of course, I'm sure that you are already planning on visiting the Eiffel Tower and walking along the Seine River and the Champs-Ellyse. Some other recommendations include:
1. Musee D'Orsay-- one of my favorite museums-- all Impressionism
2. Walk to the top of Notre Dame to see a breathtaking view of Paris and the gargoyles that live on top
3. Visit Sainte Chapelle to witness wonderful stained glass
4. The Center George Pompidou-- (a modern art museum)-- houses a whimsical and colorful sculpture park outside of it
5. I do not remember where it is-- but there is a basement that houses Monet's waterlillies wrapped around a circular wall-- it is unbelievable how huge these paintings are-- up close you can see just how incredible of a work of art they are
