Taxi, Trains, and Planes

Today was a transition day and a long one too. We are now in Pairs, France and thankfully the weather is so much cooler.

Our flight from Porto on Easyjet was uneventful. Easyjet is a European budget airline and we have found them to be on time and inexpensive, Our ticket here was only $50.

We arrived in Paris close to 9:00pm. Our hotel, Hotel Bonaparte is just down the street from the Church of Saint-Sulpice. Europe's greatest organist, Daniel Roth, plays the organ here so I hope we get to hear him.  This area has quiet streets with a wide choice of cafes. The cafes all have chalkboards in front of them with the menu written by hand. The menu at the cafe we chose was all in French and I couldn't find many of the words so ended up with ravioli with asparagus which was delicious,

Our hotel dates back to the mid 1800s. It's dated inside with an old marble fireplace in our room, but very comfortable and friendly, Tomorrow will be a busy day of touring with lots of photos to post tomorrow.
